Well, apparently she came downstairs and used the bathroom - while sleep walking! She then walked into the living room and lay down on the sofa as if it were her bed. The scary part wasn't only that she was sleep walking. It was that she came down a flight of stairs while sleeping! She could have gotten really hurt!! I carried her up to bed and asked her about it this morning. She doesn't remember any of it! The weird thing is that she talked to me when I tried asking her why she was downstairs. She seemed as if she were awake, but obviously she
This may have been a one time event due to her being so sad and upset about the baby bird falling (see previous post), but I'm going to keep an extra close eye on her now! Great, just one more thing to cause sleepless nights. Calgon, take me away!!

That does sound scary! and she sure is cute!
I have never had any sleepwalkers so I can't offer advice. I can understand your concern though.
My hubs was a sleepwalker when he was young and his mom had to put high locks on the doors because he liked to go outside in the middle of the night. Yikes!
I would just make sure your doors and windows are secure.
Our two boys have walked in their sleep. The younger just walks through the house and tries to go to the bathroom in different areas of the house. It is kind of entertaining...he has only missed the bathroom once praise God!
Our oldest walked 4 blocks to the store a while back but that only happened once...my husband fixed his window so now he can't open it far enough to get out of it if he did it again.
I also remind them to stay in bed when we put them down so that they have that running through their head.
And Lots of prayer :D
We had the same situation with Matthew - but figured out he only did it when he needed to use the bathroom. He would not wake up but would walk around crying and confused. At first we didn't know he was asleep and would try to reason with him and tell him to go back to bed. It just made him wander and cry more! Now we just make sure he goes before bed and he does much better.
