Photo Hunt #157 - Stripes

At first I wasn't sure what to put down for stripes, but then I saw these photos from our trip to Disney and thought they were perfect, especially the last one!!

Zachary, Hannah and Tigger...

Hannah and Piglet....
these two are SO much alike it's not funny!!

You can't live in American and hear the word 'stripes' without thinking of our flag! I took this photo outside the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum down in Georgia. I still get chills when I see it and think of all the men who have served, especially those who have given their lives, for our freedom.

Photo Hunt #156 - Bubbles

Hannah LOVES blowing bubbles, so it was easy finding photos for this topic.

Here's an old one I took of Zachary a few years ago. One of my favorite photos!!

Photo Hunt #155 - Memorial

The word this week is "Memorial". It's not only an appropriate word for this weekend, but because Zachary has decided he'd like to join the Air Force when he graduates high school in 2 years. He hopes to go to the AF Academy out in Colorado Springs to become an officer. Here are a few photos from our recent vacation, where we happened to stop to visit an Air Force Museum down in Georgia.

Zachary's dream is to fly...to become a pilot. If he doesn't get to fly while in the Air Force, he still wants to get his pilots license and fly privately, but I'm praying he will get to live out his dream and fly for our country!

My handsome son Zachary...I'm so very proud of him!!!

Take the time to remember those who have given their lives up for our freedom in this country. One of the saddest funerals I ever attended was for a friend whose 21 year old son was killed in Iraq while serving as a US Marine. A big thank you to those who are in the military serving our country. You, and those who have gone before you should be honored this weekend.

Photo Hunt #154 - Covered

Hmmm, this was a no-brainer for me. Covered bridges are so beautiful...I wish there were more of them. There's something so mysterious about them, and I love their nostalgic feel. These are two bridges we went to visit here in New England in the fall. One on a field trip and one as a family.

Photo Hunt #152 - Foreign

One of my favorite places on earth...SCOTLAND

Here are a few photos taken over 15 years ago - sadly, the last time I was there. I'd love to go back there one day again. My family all came from Scotland, so it's not just a 'foreign' country I love, it's a part of who I am.

Eliean Donan Castle....

Me, sitting outside the Eilean Donan Castle...

Dunrobin Castle...very majestic!

A private castle in the Highlands...I'd love to live there!! Can't you just imagine those brown hills covered with beautiful purple heather come Spring?? Simply gorgeous!!

Staying the night at Lockerbie Manor...

Being silly at the top of Edinburgh Castle...

Glamis Castle...

The beautiful gardens of Glamis Castle...

I continue to dream that maybe one day in the future, I'll get to go back!!
Sigh....

Photo Hunt #151 - Bulky

This guy was quite 'bulky'...Zachary had to squeeze his way onto the bench just for a photo!

These bean bag chairs were ridiculous since they were so very 'bulky'! We ended up getting rid of them because of their enormous size...they kept growing!

This guy's got plenty of 'bulk' on him, so I think he's appropriate for today's theme, don't you?!?

Photo Hunt #150 - Lick

It wasn't easy finding photos for this theme, but I managed to do so thanks to Hannah eating a Popsicle this past summer, and the dog just being....well, a dog! =)

Photo Hunt #149 - Twelve

We got the kids a new pool table for Christmas....so this was the perfect photo op for the number 'twelve'....
