Wish they grew this way!

I LOVE flowers!!! I love looking at them, smelling them, photographing them...everything about them. The prettier, the brighter, the more unique, the better!!

Well, the other day I was feeling a bit 'blue', so my hubby came home from work and gave me a bouquet of beautiful flowers to 'brighten' up my day....check out the colors!!!









If only they grew this way, huh?!? So pretty!!!

If you know me well, you know I absolutely love taking photos, especially with my new Nikon D90 camera!! My kids say I'm the paparazzi, but I know better...I simply enjoy being behind the lens rather than in front of it!

Morning surprise...

This morning when I woke up, I found these on the counter in our bathroom...



20 gorgeous red roses! They're from 'Edward'. What for? Today was my birthday. He never ceases to surprise me on my birthday in one way or another. I knew he wasn't going to buy me a present since he bought me that brand new digital camera a couple months ago...so I didn't expect to see these when I woke up!! (Excuse the 'vase'...he said he couldn't find one in the dark when setting these up, so he used Tupperware! ha ha)

The kids were great...not only did they come down to wish me a happy birthday first thing in the morning, but they (along with Daddy) took me out to dinner then gave me a very cool digital macro lens to go with my new camera. To most people this wouldn't be all that exciting, but believe me...I was THRILLED to get it!! I LOVE photography (it's a new hobby of mine) and macro photos are my favorites. So...hopefully I'll put it to good use soon and post photos here.

I am truly blessed!!! My birthday, even though it's so close to Thanksgiving Day and all the busyness, was very special!

Holy Macro!

Yeah, I know...that's a corny title, but it's hard to come up with them all the time!!! As you know, it's spring, therefore for me it's macro season. I do enjoy taking macro photos throughout the year, but never as much as during the spring when flowers are just in bloom!
