She did it!

Sweet-Pea has wanted her ears pierced for a while now, but has been too scared to get it done. Finally, the other day she said "I'm going to do it Mom, whether I feel like it or not!" That's what I call courage!!!

So, we took her to the mall to Claire's Boutique. She sat in the chair, arms folded, and waited...

She was nervous but would never have admitted it at this point! Here she is, getting her ears cleaned and ready to be pierced...

Getting them marked at just the right spot.

By this time, her nerves were getting the best of her...

Here goes the first hole...

OK, that wasn't so bad...was it?!?

Nevermind...the 2nd one is going to hurt just as much...

See?!?

But...she got through it and is now smiling once again!!!

See the pretty 14k gold Tanzanite earrings she picked out? They match her sparkly personality! =)

She looked around at all the pretty earrings she'll be able to wear in 6 weeks. Hmm, now I know what to buy her for Christmas this year!!!!

I'm so proud of her. She was such a brave girl and I'm glad she got it over with. She's been wanting them for a year now and just needed to work up the courage. I didn't get my ears pierced until I was 13, so she's a LOT braver than I ever was!!!!

Aw poor thing. That picture of her waiting for the second one, just pulls on the heartstrings, but what a brave little girl she is. My oldest was lucky enough to have her ears done simultaneously. My younger daughter not so lucky. She had a simular face (she was five). Hope the unpacking is going well.

Love mallen

Yay!!! and congratulations :-)

Both of my girls had their ears done as babies in Africa but I had Anna's redone after she came home because her holes had closed up.
