I wasn't easy choosing just 13 verses! There are SO many more that I love, but I managed to find 13 that are extra special to me. Here goes...
1. Philippians 4:6,7 - "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of god, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."
2. Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."
3. Proverbs 3:5,6 - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."
4. Romans 8:38-39 -“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is Jesus Christ our Lord.”
5. Ephesians 2:10 -"For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."
6. Hebrews 12:1-3 -" Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sun that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
7. Ephesians 4:32 - "Be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you."
8. Isaiah 41:10 - "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
9. Micah 6:8 - "He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."
10. 2 Corinthians 4:18: "We fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
11. Isaiah 55: 8-9 - “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, “declares the Lord. “as the heavens are higher than the earth so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
12. Philippians 4:8 - "Finally brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-- think about such things."
13. Philippians 3:14 - "I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."
